We’re delighted to announce details of the launch event for our International Women’s Day campaign on Thursday, 1st of March 2018.
When Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked why he appointed the first gender-equal cabinet in his country’s history, he replied: “Because it’s 2015.” In 2018, just how far have we come?
We are thrilled to reveal that the Irish Times Women’s Podcast will be live recording a panel discussion on women in the workplace ahead of International Women’s Day 2018, presented by Kathy Sheridan, in association with Dress for Success. Panellists will be our founder, Sonya Lennon; Carolan Lennon, newly appointed Chief Executive of eir; and Gillian Harford, Head of Diversity & Inclusion with AIB, which we’re sure will make for a lively discussion.

At the event, we will also officially launch our 2018 International Women’s Day campaign, sponsored by eir, which will see workplaces and individuals across Ireland raising funds and holding clothing collections to support our work.#
Join us on Thursday 1st of March in eir HQ, 1 Heuston South Quarter, St. John’s Road, Dublin 8 to kick off our IWD campaign for 2018!
Let’s include men in the conversation.
We are encouraging all our guests to bring male colleagues and friends along to this event. At Dress for Success, we know women and men must work together to achieve a truly fair society. It is important to us to acknowledge and encourage male advocates for equality. We’re hoping to have as many men in the room as possible, so they can learn more about our work and the issues feeding into our International Women’s Day campaign.
