To celebrate International Women’s Day each year, we run our largest awareness and fundraising campaign.
Each year, workplaces across the country join us in celebrating International Women’s Day, fundraising to support our work, raising awareness of inspirational women and facilitating conversations exploring the challenges women in the workplace face and the changes that may need to be implemented.
Dress for Success Dublin is all about supporting women to enter the workforce and helping women to further their careers.
For International Women’s Day (IWD) 2017, almost 40 companies across the city held events exploring the theme of #WoMenAtWork. These gatherings took a variety of forms, coffee mornings, panel discussions, bake offs, lunches and clothing collections. Men and women in workplaces gathered and discussed important issues like the gender pay gap, access to childcare, the glass ceiling, unconscious bias, sexism/discrimination and inspirational women in the workplace.
Since Dress for Success Dublin was founded in 2010, we have supported over 1,700 women to develop skills in applying for, finding jobs and developing their careers on an ongoing basis. Fifty-seven per cent of the women we support have gained employment, while 75 per cent state they are where they want to be, whether working or in further education and training.
Dress for Success Dublin does not receive any government funding. We rely on support from our corporate partners to help us to reach and support women across Dublin.

€50 enables us to suit and provide interview support to one woman.
€500 enables us to run a workshop supporting 25 women to land the jobs they want.
€5,000 supports our Career Centre programmes for three months.
