Headline Sponsor for IWD 2018 Revealed!

There was something in the eir last International Women’s Day…

As one of the first companies in Ireland to host fundraising events for Dress for Success, eir has been one of our earliest supporters. Since 2011, eir (then Eircom) has provided support by organising clothing collections, employee engagement initiatives and the provision of services and expertise.

In 2015, eir became the headline sponsor of the Dress for Success International Women’s Day campaign, and since then, our partnership has gone from strength to strength.

For our 2017 International Women’s Day campaign, we were delighted to join them in marking the occasion by holding a lunchtime panel discussion chaired by Sonya Lennon.

Tackling issues such as the gender gap, the importance of male advocates for gender equality, and how to bring about systemic change, the discussion gave employees the chance to engage with issues still affecting women in the workplace, as well as a forum to discuss real solutions to influence positive change. The discussion was enhanced by the voices of leading figures from business and the media, including members of eir’s senior management team, who led the discussion on diversity and workplace equality.

This is the reason eir continues to support our annual IWD campaign: recognising the need for change and helping to be a part of its creation. Probing, revealing and informative, the discussion was a huge success!

An eir of excitement for 2018…

And this year we couldn’t be happier to announce that eir will once again be returning as our headline sponsor for what promises to be our best International Women’s Day yet! They will be supporting our campaign as the official hosts of our IWD special recording of The Irish Times Women’s Podcast in their Dublin office, the details of which we will be thrilled to announce soon!

Following on from their standout success of last year, they will be celebrating on 8th March with a lunchtime discussion focusing on the important issues facing women in the workplace with Sonya Lennon.

We are so grateful for eir’s support and are looking forward to another year of embracing the achievements of women in workplaces across Ireland.
