On the 8th of March, we were very proud to have the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) supporting Dress for Success Dublin. We think it’s fitting to have Ireland’s official standards body get involved with our campaign which is advocating for equality in the standard of working environment across genders!
Geraldine Larkin, NSAI’s Chief Executive, made the decision to bring the the organisation into the campaign because of their ‘strong focus of supporting women in the workplace.
As of International Women’s Day 2018, NSAI has 137 full-time employees, of which 44% are women and 56% are men. Its board is gender-balanced, with six female board members and six male board members.’ In 2017, Geraldine became the first female Chief Executive of the NSAI. The NSAI are at the forefront of the change that Dress for Success campaign for and work towards.
On International Women’s Day, 50c from every transaction in the office canteen was donated to Dress for Success. Extra special items like muffins, cake, cookies and cupcakes were purchased and sold on the day, while staff also donated directly to donation buckets.
We are so grateful for all the support and their hard work.
