Shane Dempsey – Chair of the Board

Shane Dempsey is Director of Communications, Corporate, Government Relations and Public Affairs at the Construction Industry Federation. He has 20 years’ experience in communications and has worked for some of Ireland’s leading organisations.

Shane is a graduate of the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and Trinity College. Along with his work for Dress for Success, Shane is also a Fundraising Committee member for the Dublin Simon Community.

Sonya Lennon - Founder of Dress for Success Dublin

Sonya Lennon – Founder & Director

Sonya Lennon founded Dress for Success Dublin in 2010 matching her fashion expertise with her passion for supporting women in the workplace and advancing workplace equality in Ireland. She has won multiple awards for her work with the charity.

A designer, broadcaster and entrepreneur, Sonya co-owns fashion brand Lennon Courtney and has been twice elected to the Board of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.

Sarah Murphy – Director

Sarah is the Managing Director of iQuest Ltd. and Business Post LIVE. Under her remit is a portfolio of over 35 annual events, including conferences, large scale exhibitions, awards ceremonies and niche events. As part of iQuest Ltd. Sarah is responsible for a range of trade publishing titles.

Sarah is the former chair and a current member of the British & Irish Trading Alliance Ireland Board and is a member of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity Ireland Board.

Ada Kelly

Ada Kelly – Director

Ada was appointed to the Board of Dress for Success in 2013.   She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), and holds qualifications in Counselling and Marketing.

Since availing of early retirement from Diageo some years ago, she has worked as an Independent Consultant.  In that time, she has worked in many large companies and Government Departments.


Trisha Wilson – Director

Trisha Wilson is a Vice President at J.P. Morgan in Dublin and has over twenty years’ experience in Financial Services having worked in the US, UK and Ireland.  Trisha has recently completed her part-time studies and has been awarded a MSc in Financial Services from UCD.

Trisha is a culture ambassador, working to connect her company with the wider community through philanthropy, events and progressing her vision for a diverse Ireland by prompting equal workplace opportunities.

Cathriona Edwards - Director

Cathriona Edwards – Director

Cathriona Edwards brings two decades of experience as a communications consultant, psychotherapist, trainer and coach to the board. She is energised by igniting self-confidence in others and helping people to harness their innate strengths.

Cathriona is a member of the Human Givens Institute Board, has an Honours Degree in Psychology, an MA in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and has previously served as Communications Manager with RTÉ.
