We’re joining forces with Sigmar Recruitment for a breakfast briefing on the gender pay gap
It is anticipated that, by 2020, Irish employers will be legally required to publish data on the gender pay gap. The General Scheme of the Gender Pay Gap Information Bill was approved by Cabinet in June 2018, and the Bill is currently under discussion in the Oireachtas.
This coming Wednesday, 5th December, we’re co-hosting a breakfast briefing with Sigmar Recruitment. The briefing will take place at Stephen’s Green Hibernian Club, and will focus on the gender pay gap, the proposed legislation, and wider issues that can be taken to promote workplace equality.
Hosted by our founder, Sonya Lennon, the event will draw on learnings in other jurisdictions where similar legislation has been introduced; and how companies can plan and prepare over the course of 2019. We’ll also be sharing information on our Pay Disclosures Pioneers initiative which is aimed at helping companies to become best-practice leaders in early pay disclosure and workplace equality.
A panel discussion will take place as part of the event, chaired by Sonya and featuring panellists:
- Senator Ivana Bacik;
- Frank Farrelly, COO of Sigmar Recruitment and President of the National Recruitment Federation; and
- Nikki Gallagher, Director of Communications and Secretariat at SOLAS.
Advance registration is required for this event. If you are interested in attending, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by lunchtime on Tuesday, 4th December.
